Unfortunately, I was at urgent care at KP and didn't get out until a little after 10 PM when I came. I didn't eat dinner and really needed something. Fast food restaurants that you can normally count on were still open but I wanted Popeyes. Luckily, this one was open. There is NOT a drive thru which was a bummer because I wanted to get food and be on my way home. The service was a bit slow because they had to make food since it was close to closing time. Understandable. The servers were nice but it seemed clear to me that they were more than ready to be heading home. That killed the ambiance a bit since they also were more than clear they didn't want anybody eating at the tables even though the place was supposed to be open for more than an hour. They used chairs to block both entries to the tables. I didn't really want to eat there anyways but I saw customers come in, order their food, then head towards the table to only then turn around and leave. It wasn't that inviting. I'd suggest shutting down 75%-85% of the eating area so it would be more inviting for the few people that come in really late. The servers would still have little to clean up and could still get ahead on their cleaning for closing the store. I get it; no sense in starting to clean after it's closed but there are ways to do it strategically. I'm sure they were as eager as I was to get home. I'd come back though since it was evident they do actually clean and were doing a thorough job of it. That's definitely a good sign! First impressions make a big statement. Now, the food- just as expected and actually a little better than I get sometimes. I like the strips because I like to dip them in the sweet and spicy sauce. I don't know why but it seemed spicier this time which is fine. I haven't been eating spicy foods or sauces for a while now and rarely do. The strips were tender and were not too crispy which I liked. The spicy blackened chicken sandwich is good if you like a kick to your food. Popeyes fries are one of my favorite seasoned fries. It's comparable to Checker's fries! A surprising and go to warm side is the Mac and Cheese. I was surprised how good it was the first time I ordered it many months back. It's definitely the best Mac and cheese I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. I'm curious how busy this place gets on normal days during lunch and dinner time without a drive thru.

I go to this Popeyes over the Popeyes that's closer to my house becuase they have excellent customer service and are willing to make them chicken till about 30 mins or so before closing. Not to mention they are much faster to get orders finished. I would like too think some of these negative reviews are for the popeyes near my house and not this location
